Strengthening the Capacities of Civil Society for ICT-Based Community Engagement (2021)


Donor: Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshal Fund of the United States and USAID
 
The project aims to support the development of the capacities of CSOs in North Macedonia and several other Balkan countries, including, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia, to conduct community outreach and engagement using ICT tools. The project foresees the development of a guide for development and delivery of online awareness-raising, capacity-building and advocacy activities through synchronous and asynchronous ICT learning tools. In order to support CSOs directly and to equip them with hands-on skills in using different types of online software tools, a series of webinars will be organized for CSO representatives from North Macedonia and the countries of the region.

 

 

 
 

Strengthening Educators’ Capacities for ICT-Based Distance Learning (2020-2021)


Donor: Embassy of the United States of America, Skopje

 
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen educators' capacities for webinar-based education in North Macedonia.
The project will produce a guide for webinar-based education and distribute it to at least 500 education professionals and education organizations in the country, and it will organize at least 25 webinars organized in North Macedonia involving at least 375 education professionals.


The project is a continuation of DeSo's long term program for promoting webinar-based education. In addition, it is specifically designed to respond to the challenges to education created by the global Covid-19 pandemic.

 



 

Marketing and Communication for Sustainable Rural Tourism Development (2019-2020)


Donor: European Commission, World Banka, LRCP Program
 


The project promoted online marketing of rural tourism destinations in North Macedonia; it included training for rural providers, technical assistance to rural providers related to online marketing, development of a web portal of rural tourism providers in North Macedonia and an online promotion campaign.

The project was implemented by ALKA (lead) and Development Solutions (DeSo) as partner.

 





Promoting Active Labor Market Measures for Youth at Risk of Social Exclusion with Particular Focus on Urban Youth, (2017-2019)


Donor:  Erasmus+ Program, European Commission  


The project promoted ALMPs with focus on youth at risk in the region of the Western Balkans. It was implemented by the Association Zid (lead) from Montenegro, Development Solutions (DeSo) from North Macedonia, and Libergraf from Serbia.

The project work involved research on current ALMPs with focus on at risk urban youth in the target countries, development of policy proposals, development of a web portal, several large youth events, including training workshops, and conferences, and a series of webinar-based trainings.

 





Promoting Webinar-Based Youth Non-Formal Education in Southeast Europe, Part II (2019-2021)


Donor: Erasmus+ Program, European Commission  


The project aims to promote non-formal webinar-based education with young people in the region of Southeast Europe. It is implemented in partnership with Cre Thi Dev from Greece, and Foundation 42 from Bulgaria.

The project involves: development of curricula for webinar-based non-formal education, further upgrade of a regional e-platform for webinars (www.prowebsee.org), and organization of series of webinars with young people from North Macedonia, Greece, and Bulgaria.
The project is a continuation of DeSo's long term program for promotion of webinar-based education.






 

Promoting Webinar-Based Youth Non-Formal Education in Southeast Europe (2017-2018)

 

Donor: Erasmus+ Program, European Commission  

 

The project promoted non-formal webinar-based education with young people in the region of Southeast Europe. It was implemented in partnership with the Institute for Entrepreneurship Development (IED) from Greece, and Foundation 42 from Bulgaria. 

 

The project involved: development of curricula for webinar-based non-formal education, further upgrade of a regional e-platform for webinars (www.prowebsee.org), and organization of series of webinars with young people from North Macedonia, Greece, and Bulgaria.

The project is a continuation of DeSo's long term program for promotion of webinar-based education.

 
 



 

E-Platform for Cooperation and Development of Civil Society in the Republic of Macedonia, 2016-2018  

Donor: Civica Mobilitas, Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) 

The goal of the project was to enhance and improve the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the activity, cooperation, and development of CSOs in the Republic of North Macedonia.  

Specifically, the project developed, maintained, and handed over to Civica Mobilitas (CM) an innovative and interactive e-platform, to be used by CM grantees and other actors of civil society and their constituencies, for cooperation, research and development (RD), and learning and sharing of experience.

 

The project involved the following work: conducting an online assessment of the web pages of CM grantees and other CSOs, conducting of a survey on the ICT needs  of CM grantees and other CSOs, for the processes of cooperation, RD, and learning and experience sharing, organizing 1 regional focus group with CM grantees, designing of e-platform, developing the e-platform, regular maintenance of the e-platform, organizing 8 regional trainings on using  the e-platform for CM grantees and other CSOs, setting up a technical support center and providing of regular support to e-platform users. 

 

 



Promoting Webinar-Based Education in Southeast Europe, 2015-2017  

Donor: Erasmus+ Program, European Commission 

The project promoted adult education through webinars in the region of Southeast Europe. It was implemented in partnership with the Institute for Entrepreneurship Development (IED) from Greece, and Foundation 42 from Bulgaria. 

The project involved: conducting of a regional research on E-Learning in the SEE, production and dissemination of a guide for organization of educational webinars, developing of a regional e-platform for webinars, and organization of series of webinars in the region.
