Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is to support and empower civil society in protecting and promoting democracy, human rights and fundamental freedoms.
The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
1. Promoting youth and women empowerment
2. Support freedom of expression, strengthening media literacy, and countering illegal hate speech.
Eligibility of applicants
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
• be a legal person;
• be non-profit-making;
• be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, a civil society organisation, (international organisation as defined
by Article 156 of the EU Financial Regulation are ineligible);
• be established in any territory as no nationality restriction applies to applicants and, if any, to co-applicants, and affiliated entities;
• be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an
intermediary and
• have been registered for at least two years at the submission deadline for concept notes.
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
• minimum amount: EUR 300 000
• maximum amount: EUR 500 000.
