Background


The Project Officer is located in UNFPA Country Office (CO) and reports to the Programme Analyst on Gender Equality, Population and Development and Monitoring and Evaluation. By providing coordinating, management and strategic support to the project, Project Coordinator/Officer ensures that the impact of results achieved is better access of CRSV survivors of established and functioning health and social protection services, based on the Standards for minimum service provision and Local Action Plans, free of stigma and discrimination.


Responsibilities

   - Coordinates stakeholders (governmental representatives at various levels and CSOs) in development/adaptation/endorsement of the
     Standards for minimum service provision for CRSV survivors in health and social sectors and support to the creation of Local Action
     Plans;
   - Coordinates policy/strategy level stakeholders to prepare, adopt and implement monitoring and evaluation procedures;
   - Supports senior UNFPA staff in development of plans, strategies and programme components relating to conflict related sexual violence;
   - Supports fund-raising for issues of sexual and gender based violence in the conflict, and other gender based violence related issues in BiH.
   - Creates strategic partnerships and supports awareness raising for joint co-financing modalities within governmental structures, other UN
     agencies and the other partners;
   - Intensively works on promotion of effective stakeholder participation in the programme implementation;
   - Manages project’s finances, including budget development and monitoring, and timely and appropriate financial reporting.


Requirements

   - Advanced degree in social sciences field – public health, social work, psychology, law, political science, public administration,
     international relations, international development, or similar.
   - 5 years of relevant managerial experience at similar positions in providing advice and support to implementation and management of
     policy making and strategic planning initiatives/projects at national level preferably experience in direct and frequent communication with
     national or entity authorities  and Civil Society Organisations. Familiarity with international standards of Project Cycle Management;
     Monitoring and Evaluation.  Knowledge of BiH administrative organizations and their work procedures will be highly valued.
   - Excellent skills in English and local languages.
   - Proficiency in current office software applications
